Nick Owens, a local high school baseball player, recently faced a medical crisis that impacted his entire life. Vomiting every 45 minutes, Nick could not enjoy school, family, friends, and especially baseball. After multiple visits with doctors in North Carolina and no relief in sight, a friend suggested to Nick’s father that he visit Dr. Drury.
“Upper Cervical Care is a simple concept,” says Dr. Drury. “It is a form of health care that focuses on the top two bones in the neck. The brain stem passes through these bones and is responsible for transmitting the nerve impulses from the brain to every part of the body. If one of the top two bones becomes misaligned, even slightly, it can affect the nerve transmission to multiple parts of the body, which can cause a variety of health conditions.”
An Upper Cervical Correction is gentle and there is no forceful pulling, twisting or jerking motion of your neck. The correction is applied using a precise and controlled touch that allows the head, neck, and spine to return to their proper positions, restoring balance to the body and removing the interference. It's a natural and effective way to live pain-free, without the use of drugs or surgery, and it's safe for people of all ages.
Thanks to Dr. Drury, Nick was able to go back to school and baseball, and now looks forward to playing baseball at NC State University where he recently received a scholarship.
