Katter South Australian Party to Fight for All South Australians

ADELAIDE, Australia - Sept. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- With the Federal Election looming on September 7, many people have spoken to us about the future of our Party in South Australia beyond September 7, said SA Senate Candidate Glenn O’Rourke.

Katter’s Australian Party is committed to a long term future, fighting for All South Australians long into the future. The Party is in the final stages of registering the South Australian Division of the Party, Katter’s South Australian Party.

When asked what this means for South Australians, Glenn responded that Katter’s South Australian Party plans to run as many candidates as possible in the 47 South Australian State Seats and a team for the Legislative Council at next year’s South Australian State Election on March 15 2014.

The party will seek to grow membership and establish branches right across South Australia. A major focus will be the new local policy committees, that will focus on the key areas of policy, that the people of South Australian are concerned about and want to see positive change in, Glenn said.

It is important to vote for Katter’s Australian Party in the Senate to send a clear message to the major parties that you are not happy with the current duopoly of the Liberal/National and Labor/Greens options.

In South Australia, a Vote 1 for Katter above the line flows through the right leaning and conservative parties then onto the Liberals before labor and the Greens. There has been a lot of untruths and misinformation re our preferences driven by the Liberal Party in Queensland, who are scared we might win some lower house seats up there.

Australia needs to embrace a broader multi party political system that will provide a much fairer political system, where the people will gain a better representation. The current system provides democracy in the form of voting the party in and then, in most cases, the people of Australia have the party’s policies and ideas imposed on them, with no ability to influence them.

Katter’s Australian party is not just a country/regional Party, but a Party that seeks to represent All South Australians. Our Policies are committed to Protect Australian Jobs, Build Australian Industry and Support Australian Families.

We are committed to policies that will ultimately provide more Australian Jobs, reduce the average cost of living, protect Australia’s borders in both human trafficking as well as food security and stop the wholesale selloff of Australian Land and business.
