Coast Title Insurance Agency Closing Office to Participate in 911 Habitat Day

Palm Coast, FL – Coast Title Insurance Agency is pleased to be closing their office for the day to participate with hundreds of other organizations across the U.S. to commemorate the anniversary of the September 11th attacks with their '911 Habitat Day of Service and Remembrance'.

The entire office agreed to donate their time that day,” says Sandra McDermott, owner of Coast Title, and the current President of the Flagler Habitat for Humanity. “I’ve been a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for the past 18 years so it just feels right to participate, and I’m sure our customers will understand why we are closing the office for the day,” she added.

The Coast Title team encourages their customers, and anyone else that would like to participate, to come out to 14 Utrillo Place in Seminole Woods in Palm Coast at 8:00 a.m. The Habitat Board and staff will be out building on that day and Mayor Netts will perform a proclamation.

The new Habitat homeowner is Yolanda Neloms. She has been employed as a long time security guard at Island Estates and her home is being sponsored by the generous Hammock Dunes Community.  Sandra initially met Yolanda through teaching the closing segment of the Habitat homeowner training classes that every new homeowner must go through. Sandra expressed that it will be ’extra special’ to share in the hands-on construction of this home with her co-workers for Yolanda and her family.

September 11th was designated a national day of service by the 2009 Kennedy Serve America Act. The Corporation for National and Community Service leads the annual event, working with MyGoodDeed and hundreds of nonprofit groups, faith-based organizations, and schools and businesses nationwide.
