Plus Night Out, Plus Size Indie Designer Showcase returns during NYFW 2013

MCLEAN, Va. - Sept. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Plus Night Out is pleased to announce that Joanne Borgella, of NUVO TV’s “Curvy Girls” and American Idol, will host the only Plus size runway event during NY Fashion Week.  PNO has grown exponentially and will move their annual event to the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 7-9 p.m.

The Plus industry's most stylish and influential media professionals, personalities and models will come together to view collections from plus-centric independent designers.  Ashley Stewart is the exclusive corporate sponsor of Plus Night Out,  and is the exclusive host of the largest plus model search.

True Model Management, a top modeling company, will join Plus Night Out as a model search sponsor.  Plus Night Out's Model Search winner will receive a modeling contract with True Model Management, a campaign with Ashley Stewart and covers/editorial placement in leading plus publications.

Daily Venus Diva Magazine, Full Blossom Magazine, Manik Magazine, Skorch Magazine, ModelCall Magazine and PNO Magazine are all participating model search media sponsors.

Our Plus Night Out Model Search has expanded with the help of our elite sponsor, Ashley Stewart.  PNO held casting calls in Atlanta, Maryland, New Jersey and New York in specific Ashley Stewart locations.  The winner will receive flight and hotel compensation to participate in the NY runway event.   She will also represent PNO in media interviews, receive a $500 gift certificate from Ashley Stewart, a gift basket from participating sponsors (valued at $500),   (3) photoshoots from top plus industry photographers, Marc Wyche, Doug Swaim and Stanley Desbas.  A one hour consultation with Model Makers Mentors (Catherine Schuller).

Ashley Stewart and select plus-centric, independent designers will have the opportunity to showcase their Fall fashion collections during NYFW at Plus Night Out.  Our designer showcase will include JustRaymona of NBC's 24hr Catwalk, The Cotrice Collection (from the Lifetime show, Project Accessories), Chocolate Sushi Couture, Serita Bell, Intimate Plus, A Golden Divine Touch Jewelry, SK Wilbur Handbags, IGIGI, F3(Full Figured Fashionista) and Joanne Borgella’s JBNY Collection. Luichiny Shoes will be sponsoring all the footwear on the Plus Night Out runway.

Vendors will also offer the curvy woman, great shopping opportunities.  There  will be something for every aspect of a Plus woman's lifestyle; beauty, apparel, accessories, authors and more.  Our participating vendors are Frava Juice, The Virtuous Boutique, Omoyeni Accessories, 127 East, Author-Tionna Smalls and The Color Box by Maria.

Plus Night Out is proud to be affiliated with the not for profit organization, Color of Teal, which brings awareness to gynecological cancers.  The executive director will be there to impart useful information on prevention and symptoms.

Plus Night Out will be at the Hotel Pennsylvania, across the street from Madison Square Garden in New York, on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 7-9 p.m.
