Circle Concepts Discuss Team Nights Out
Columbus, OH, September 2013 – One ritual that Circle Concepts have developed is to socialise out of the office on team building nights.
“I think it is important when you are building relationships with people at work to get to know them out of the office,” said Managing Director, Kai Petrich this week. “It gives you a chance to get to know everyone personally and not talk about work for a change.”
The team at Circle Concepts invite their partners and families along to occasional social events so that everyone can be introduced. “It’s nice when you finally get to put faces to names and meet people that you have heard so much about,” added Petrich.
There is a whole array of activities the team are looking to plan this year as well as visiting local bars and restaurants in Columbus.
Toasting with colleagues at happy hour is a common business practice. Gatherings outside of the workplace are designed to foster loyalty and give colleagues an opportunity to get to know one another. Going to these events are important, as it shows your co-workers that you are invested in them and care to socialize with them. These gatherings also offer a great opportunity to get face time with senior level executives.
Debra Yergen, author of Creating Job Security Resource Guide said boundaries are key. "You want to have a warm working relationship, but you don't want to put either party in a position of feeling embarrassed Monday morning for what happened Friday night," Yergen says. "It helps everyone maintain a higher level of professionalism in the office when no one has done or said something they regret outside of the office."
“We are all working hard to hit our goals, it’s a very fun and vibrant environment but we get a lot done and it’s so great to get a chance to go celebrate and relax with everyone,” commented a Circle Concepts marketing team representative.
The company’s August figures are due to be released this week.
