Technology Innovation Summit 2013 (TIS2013) to host Kick Off Reception September 5

CHICAGO - Sept. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- (CHICAGO)  -- The highly anticipated  Technology Innovation Summit (http://www.technologyinnovationsummit.com) 2013 (TIS2013) will host a kick-off reception announcing the speakers for their 3rd Annual Conference “Sustaining Main Street Through Innovation” Special guests for the reception, and panelist for this year’s Summit include:

Dr. Ram Raju, CEO Cook County Health and Hospital Systems (CCHHS);

Brenna Berman, CIO City of Chicago;

Shannon Andrews, Chief Procurement Officer Cook County;

Jamie Rhee, Chief Procurement Officer City of Chicago and

Malcolm Weems, Executive Director, State of Illinois, Central Management Services (CMS).

The reception will be held at the offices of the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC) on Thursday, September 5 beginning at 4:30 and  is a precursor to TIS2013, which will beheld at the Aon Building on October 10 beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Summit highlights today’s best practices for deploying technological frameworks that foster robust economic revitalization.

The Technology Innovation Summit was conceived and produced by Poonam Gupta, president & CEO of Iyka Enterprises Inc., a global data management solutions firm in conjunction with the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT).  “We saw a distinct need in the market to bring together technologist, government, workforce development professionals and others to capture innovative best practices and ways to streamline processes.”

The Summit won high praise for TIS from Governor Pat Quinn who addressed the Summit participants last year.  “This summit is a wonderful opportunity to further develop innovative solutions that will address our state’s most pressing economic challenges, I recognize and I am committed to continue working together with local government executives to develop community economic growth plans using innovative technology and tools,” Quinn commented about the event.
