Bill Roschen, Woodbury School of Architecture Faculty Member, Receives Third Award of the Year

Sept. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES – If there’s a hat trick in architecture, Woodbury’s Bill Roschen has just pulled it off.

An adjunct faculty member of the Woodbury University School of Architecture, Roschen has been honored with his third trophy of 2013, a “Presidential Citation Award” from the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA/LA).  Earlier this year, he received the “Distinguished Leadership Award for Citizen Planner of the Year” from the American Planning Association (APA/LA) and from the APA California State chapter.  Roschen has also been nominated for an APA National award.

Recognized for his work on sustainable urban environments, Roschen, FAIA, is Founding Principal of Roschen Van Cleve Architects and has served as president of Los Angeles City Planning Commission.  With an M.S. in architecture from Columbia University, Roschen is a recognized expert in mixed-use projects.

“As co-director of the School of Architecture's Urban Policy Center with Christi Van Cleeve,  Bill Roschen is a great asset to Woodbury University, to our profession and to all of Southern California,” said Norman Millar, AIA, Dean of the School of Architecture at Woodbury.  “I can’t think of anyone more deserving of these accolades.”

Woodbury University School of Architecture is a network of hubs strategically sited within the Southern California megalopolis: Los Angeles, Burbank, Hollywood, and San Diego. Together, these sites form a critical infrastructure for architectural investigations. The school’s undergraduate and graduate programs in architecture and interior architecture train students as entrepreneurs, architect citizens, and cultural builders.
