Bilzin Sumberg's Back-to-School Drive Benefits Norwood Elementary

MIAMI - Sept. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Miami, FL – Students of Norwood Elementary School in Miami Gardens started the new school year with a fresh set of school supplies provided by the law firm of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP. As part of the Bilzin Sumberg Cares community involvement initiative, attorneys and staff donated backpacks and other school supplies and raised hundreds of dollars to purchase essential classroom items.

"The aim of this Back-to-School Drive was to bring the Bilzin Sumberg community together to help the Norwood Elementary community--students, parents and teachers, as they return to school," said Marshall R. Pasternack, Corporate & Tax Partner and Chair of Bilzin Sumberg Cares. "We wanted to equip students with some of the tools and materials they need for a successful year."

Several recent Bilzin Sumberg Cares projects have benefited Norwood Elementary School. In January, over 120 Bilzin Sumberg volunteers painted murals, planted a butterfly garden and enhanced the landscape of the school grounds. In May, the firm held a book drive, collecting new and gently used books for the school's library.
