SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Sept. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- The volunteers involved with the 2013 Taste Dinner were scheduled to present symbolic checks representing the $10,000 checks mailed to each of the eight food pantries at the August meeting. Due to the tornado, that meeting was rescheduled for September 10. Business and community leaders are invited to join representatives from the Barnegat Food Pantry, St. Francis Center Food Pantry in Brant Beach, Lacey Food Bank in Forked River, Ken's Kitchen at St. Mary's Parish in Manahawkin, Ocean Community Church Food Ministry in Manahawkin, Tuckerton Food Pantry, King of Kings Food Pantry in Manahawkin and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Food Pantry in Waretown on Tuesday September 10 at the Southern Ocean County Chamber Membership Luncheon at the Holiday Inn Manahawkin. The event begins with networking at 11 30am with lunch at noon. The Southern Ocean County Chamber will also present Surflight Theatre, Ocean Township Haunted Hayride and Barnegat Township Pirate’s Day with funding committee checks. The cost of the lunch is $20, per person and includes networking, program and buffet lunch.

Another business to business opportunity and a chance to visit one of the area’s newest restaurants is the Wednesday September 11, “Networking on Tap” After Hours while enjoying Business and Beer at the Arlington 1302 Long Beach Blvd in Ship Bottom. $20 per person includes two drink tickets and passed “Featured Selection” Appetizers. The evening begins at 5:30 and runs to 7:30pm..
