Firefly Photography to Donate £100,000 of Photography Merchandise to Charitable Causes

DERBY, U.K. - Sept. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Using social media giant Facebook, Firefly Photography are aiming to reach 1000 likes by mid November so that they can donate 1000 of their gift experiences to local charities and good causes so that they can use them as raffle prizes or merchandise to sell. All proceeds will be kept by the charities.

Firefly Photography is an established high class portraiture business specialising in family and makeover photography. "Since expanding into bigger premises, at the beginning of 2012, it has been an aim of ours to increase and enhance our community cohesion links" explains Company Director, James Corbett. "With this in mind we have started a marketing campaign, linked to our social media account 'Firefly Photography Studios', on Facebook and the aim of this fundraising campaign is to increase community links."

"As soon as we reach 1000 likes on Facebook we will be donating 1000 of our gift experiences to charitable causes. Our gift experiences retail between £95 and £145 and include a £95 credit voucher to put towards any purchase: our lowest priced product is £95 so we can insure that everybody who visits our studio will leave with at least one product."

Firefly Photography is currently looking for charities, within the East Midlands, to donate their gift experience vouchers to. "Once the gift experiences have been donated, it is up to the charity what they do with them." explains employee Kirsty Johnson, the creator of this unique fundraising event. "They can be used as prizes or as merchandise to sell in shops. We trialled the selling of our gift vouchers with a small number of people and 10 family experiences were sold at £20 each meaning that £200 was raised without investing any of the causes own money. Due to the success of this trial we are now wanting to kick start this through our 1000 like donation campaign."
