The Santa Fe was an instant success when it first became available to U.S. drivers in 2001, and its popularity has yet to wane. Now in its third generation, the Santa Fe enjoyed a 48 percent increase in July sales compared to the same time period in 2012, and total 2013 sales crested 48,000, a sizeable increase of the 39,000 models sold at this time last year.
"Drivers love compact crossovers, like the Hyundai Santa Fe, because they combine the best of what SUVs have to offer with the top features of passenger vehicles," said Drew Hill, general manager of AutoFair Hyundai, a Hyundai dealership in New Hampshire. "Even more than that, the Santa Fe is affordable for people in all walks of life, from recent graduates to young families."
The all-new Santa Fe has a spacious interior with two wheelbase options that can comfortably fit five to seven people. Both the GLS and LIMITED trims come standard with 3.3-liter V6 engines that produce 290 horsepower and deliver up to 25 mpg on the highway. Inside, the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe features 80 cubic feet of cargo space with the back seats folded flat, as well as an available telematics system that can sync up with smartphone apps.
