2013 C&S Charity Golf Outing Celebrates Record-Breaking Fundraising

Aug. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Keene, NH – The 28^th annual C&S Charities “Tee Up For Kids” golf tournament proved that giving is strong when it comes to kids. This two-day, four golf course event, held earlier this month, generated $1.3 million in donations to five nonprofit organizations devoted to pediatric cancer and childhood hunger issues. 985 golfers hit the courses and enjoyed two days of good weather and good golf, all while supporting kids.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the following organizations that support children:

Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (Lebanon, NH): $370,000 for care and treatment of children in the pediatric oncology unit
Hole in the Wall Gang Camp (Ashford, CT): $120,000 for camperships
Jimmy Fund/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston, MA): $170,000 for pediatric cancer research
Feeding America (Chicago, IL): $320,000 for the national BackPack Program
Share Our Strength (Washington, DC): $320,000 for the No Kid Hungry campaign

This year’s premium Hole in One sponsors included: Ahold USA, Campbells, Global Partners LP, Hyundai Translead, Kellogg Company, Kimberly-Clark, Nestle Purina, Nestle USA, Ryder Dedicated, and US Bank. Eagle sponsors included: Acosta, Bank of America, BI-LO/Winn-Dixie, Mintz Levin, and Ruan, More than 250 companies in total sponsored the tournament.

Next year’s C&S Charity Golf Outing is scheduled to be held on August 5 & 6, 2014.
