TORONTO - Aug. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Web app developer Bakz Awan couldn’t help but notice that gamers swear a lot, either at each other or over their own mistakes during gameplay.  As a result, he has set out to create the world’s first swear jar for gamers.  It’s an unlikely combination, but he thinks it could actually do some good in the end.

“It started out just as an inside joke with some friends of mine – I challenged them to try not to swear during their game play, it was damn … erm … darn near impossible for them to quit … it’s pretty much a habit at this point” says the app developer.  “Naturally, I thought it’d be kind of funny to turn this into a swear jar of some sort and raise money for charity through the web”.

With this swear jar, gamers can load the web app on their phone, fill the jar every time they swear, and check out the money they’ve raised in the jar, which ends up going to charity.

While the app developer agrees it’s an impossible mission to pursue, he hopes that, “it can do some good in the world, create some laughs, and end up at least raising some money for a charitable cause”.

He hopes to launch the app within a week or two, in the mean time, he has asked campaign supporters to visit cutthecraptoday.org, tweet #CUTTHEC&*P online, or take the pledge (http://www.cutthecraptoday.org) today.
