Todd Harris Appointed to Board of Directors of Road to Victory Military Museum

STUART, Fla. - Aug. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Michael Roberts, President of the Road to Victory Military Museum (RTVMM) in Stuart has announced that Todd Harris, owner of Crown Car Care and Crown Collision has been named to the Board of Directors.

“Todd has been a strong supporter of the RTVMM for the past three years and we felt he would be a great asset to the Museum,” Roberts stated. Crown Car Care has been a major sponsor of the Stuart Air Show and continues to support the November annual event with in-kind sponsorship and financial support. All proceeds from the Stuart Air Show benefit RTVMM.

The museum has a collection of military history and artifacts that is displayed in an historic building in Memorial Park, courtesy of a partnership with the City of Stuart.

In 2011, Crown Car Care repainted and completed a partial restoration of a MIG fighter plane that had been donated to the Museum as well as a WWII era TUG that came with the MIG donation.

“Todd’s knowledge of  automobiles mechanics and his partner Mark Smith’s artistry with design and automobile paint have been a huge help to the mechanical inventory of the RTVMM,” Roberts acknowledged.

Harris has also donated and raised money for Honor Flight of Southeast Florida, an organization that Roberts and the RTVMM and the Stuart Air Show are closely involved with.

In 2010, Crown Car Care built a replica of a part of the nose art of the Memphis Belle, originally featured on a B-17 bomber. WWII veterans signed the surface of the piece, which is now a part of the Road to Victory Museum.

In 2011, the team created a completed a full-size scale model of the fuselage of the famous P-40 Flying Tiger aircraft featuring the iconic shark teeth nose art. The artwork was displayed at The Living Legends tent sponsored by Crown Car Care.

 In November 2012, Harris donated, with help from other businesses, a Ford Windstar to Doug Winterhalter, a 34 year-old veteran who served ten tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. The van was outfitted with new tires and paint, a complete engine tune up and repair and military artwork on the hood.

Crown Car Care will once again be a sponsor of this year’s Stuart Air Show on November 2^nd and 3^rd. Todd has just announced that his business will once again donate a vehicle and supplies to a deserving veteran who lives in Martin County. The vehicle will be donated on Saturday November 2^nd at the Stuart Air Show.

Crown Car Care and Crown Collision, LLC, has opened a new auto repair location at 712 SE Dixie Highway, at the southeast corner of Dixie Highway and Martin Luther King Boulevard in Stuart.
