Preh Acquires Innoventis in Expansion Move

Preh has added to its technology development capacity with the acquisition of Innoventis GmbH in Würzburg, Germany.

NOVI, Mich. - Aug. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Novi, Mich. – In a move to increase its technology development capacity, Preh GmbH acquired Innoventis GmbH, a leading software development company headquartered in Würzburg, Germany.  Innoventis focuses on test systems, software components and engineering services in the field of motor vehicle electronic network systems and associated sectors. The innovative niche provider currently has 10 employees.

Preh plans to expand Innoventis as a software development hub, located near the University of Würzburg. With the acquisition, Preh will increase its development capacity in Germany to support its rapid growth in the global automotive electronics market. The name Innoventis and the location in Würzburg will be retained.

“Innoventis is a small but very accomplished company whose outstanding innovation talents makes it a perfect fit for Preh,” said Dr. Michael Roesnick, president and CEO of Preh GmbH.  “At the same time, this new venture also demonstrates our commitment to continued investment in our development activities in Germany, including the partnership with our Chinese shareholder Joyson.”

Since year-end 2011, the development division of Preh in Germany has grown from 287 to 364 employees. The company is also expanding internationally—including branches in Portugal, U.S.A./Mexico, Romania and China, the development workforce increased over the past two years from 316 to 437 employees currently.
