DELHI, India - Aug. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- KloudData recently participated in the SAP Forum for Public Services held at New Delhi, India. Tushar Sakhalkar, Global Head of SAP Practice at KloudData, addressed a congregation of Healthcare Secretaries of State and Union, some of the top officials of Public Sector Enterprises and representatives of NGOs, as part of the Public Healthcare Industry Track for Technology and Healthcare Services at the SAP Forum. Tushar presented KloudData’s vision for effective public health management in India, using SAP Solutions for Healthcare. He shared different solutions models for public hospitals and state healthcare providers that can help the state build an efficient network to connect to the remotest citizens through last-mile cares.

In the wake of recent advances in IT technology, public healthcare providers are faced with a mixed bag of challenges and opportunities to leverage innovative models in care delivery and collaboration. Tushar captured the audience’s attention with a clearly laid out architecture, with befitting components from SAP solutions, that can help widen the public health net to collect, synthesize, and analyze data from the remotest of locations to definitely improve healthcare policy performance. He also outlined the underlying infrastructure and communication network required and how it can be best optimized to be affordable, yet effective.

Public health is not just about hospital administration and patient management. It is also about ensuring accessible, affordable, equitable medical care and sense of wellness for each individual citizen. Working within limited budgets, public healthcare providers need practical and affordable ways to improve the use of available resources. Tushar mapped the typical challenges like geographical spread, shortage of skilled resources, ineffective utilization of grants, inadequate inventory planning with SAP solutions like financial management, inventory and equipment management, hospital and patient management, human capital management, electronic patient records for last-mile connectivity and analytics to aid policy decisions. The session proved to be very informative and interesting for the attendees and generated keen interest in KloudData’s solution for Indian public health.
