Aug. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Carval Computing, a specialist supplier of fully integrated Human Resources, Payroll and Time & Attendance (T&A) software, has appointed Laura Buchanan to head up the company’s new Account Management function.  The greenfield role has been created to accommodate rapid business growth over the past 12 months which saw Carval increase turnover by 30% and sign 40 new contracts.  Laura, who brings with her a wealth of customer relationship and business development experience, will actively drive Carval’s customer service and support activities during a period of continued expansion.

Prior to joining Carval, Laura was Senior Business Development Representative at School Business Services (SBS), a supplier of cost-effective and professional services to schools and educational establishments throughout the UK.  Whilst at SBS, she worked with customers to successfully launch the organisation’s mobile asset management application, helping schools to save money and comply with mandatory requirements by recording their mobile equipment accurately.

Laura started her career at Johnston Press where she was Media Partner, managing the company’s existing client base and creating new opportunities with a wide range of advertisers.  During her ten-year tenure at Johnston Press, she designed commercially driven campaigns that achieved maximum return on investment for clients, and as a result continually exceeded her monthly targets.

Commenting on her new appointment, Laura Buchanan said, “I feel privileged to be joining Carval at such an exciting time.  They have gained an excellent reputation in the marketplace for fostering a positive working environment that brings out the very best in people, empowering them to create innovative products and achieve outstanding business success.  I look forward to working with such a dynamic team of people to build Carval’s account management function, ensuring that we continue to provide excellent service to our customers, and further improving customer satisfaction.“

In July 2013, Carval announced that the company was 20% ahead of its annual target for new business and that new signings included high-profile customers such as National Housing Federation, Sunlight Services, Day Group, Bostik, Mollertech and BM Polyco.

John Ovington, Sales and Support Director at Carval Computing said; “Carval continues to go from strength to strength and we need to keep our eye firmly on the ball by delivering excellent customer service to both new and existing clients.  It’s a real juggling act and we need highly motivated and adaptable people who can cope with change and drive the business forward.  With her ‘can do’ attitude and proven experience in customer service, Laura has exactly the qualities we need to stay ahead of the game.”
