SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- With the much-anticipated arrival of its newest aircraft, Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance announced today a number of  the company's pilots are undergoing training to be certified to fly the Cessna Citation X.

The companies pilots are training at CAE Simuflite-DFW near Dallas, Texas. The 21-day training regimen includes class time and simulator training. Pilots spend at least 10 days in the classroom before ever touching the simulator.

"There are eight hours of classroom study on a typical day at the school. Then, you go home and review what you have learned that day and prepare for the next day. Technically, you are spending anywhere from 12 to 14 hours studying every day," said Angel MedFlight Chief Pilot Kindle Tannery.

The Citation X is the fastest civilian aircraft in its class, cruising at Mach .92 (700 mph) and can climb to 51,000 feet. Aviation West Charters dba Angel MedFlight acquired the aircraft in the spring and it is currently being painted after undergoing a number of modifications and upgrades.
