Mount Dora Village Market 1 year anniversary celebration

MOUNT DORA, Fla. - Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Come join Mount Dora as it celebrates the one year anniversary of the Mount Dora Village Market in Evans Park located at the end of Donnelly St at Lake Dora on Sunday Sept 1 from 9AM-2PM

A ribbon Cutting will be at 9:00 A.M. to open the market. Approximately 40 fine food and craft vendors will be set up in the park and there will be live steel drum music by Jason May to entertain the crowd.

About 20 artists sponsored by the Mount Dora Center for The Arts will be competing in a Plein Air painting competition on site during the celebration. Visitors can vote for their favorite artists and judging will happen at 2PM.

Animal groups such as PAWS Therapy Group and Greyhound Rescue will educate visitors about their causes and promote pet adoption. In addition, Swift Paws Lure Course will let dog owners allow their dogs to chase an artificial lure in a safe enclosed area.
