Aug. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- PARK CITY, Utah (Aug. 28, 2013) – Backcountry.com’s (http://www.backcountry.com)This is Backcountry” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jju_uM1cqZ8) video is gas and a match fed to grit and determination. It’s a captivating, visual portal into what the brand represents. Released last month, the video brings viewers straight into the action. Today, to bring viewers and fans closer to the brand and the elements, the online retailer of specialty outdoor gear releases its first installment in a five-part, behind-the-scenes video series called “The Making of This is Backcountry.” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjrg3OmuoTM&list=PL3iULOH9egqcSXfaY61Ldgn2aR5NtaMak&index=1) The series delivers a peek behind the curtain, and features the moments that fell to the cutting room floor in creating the yearlong, shot-around-the-world, three-minute piece.

"This project was meant to communicate our core brand values and what the customer can expect from the Backcountry family of stores,” said Scott Ballantyne, CMO at Backcountry. “There were so many interesting moments in the making of the video that we wanted to give fans an inside look. We're committed to creating spectacular content for our sites and this is just the first of five episodes.”

Each installment tells the story within the story of making “This is Backcountry” while taking viewers on a visual journey from Mexico to Pakistan. Part One of the series showcases athletes and film crews in a variety of diverse locations and precarious situations. A new episode will debut every Monday – the second episode on September 2nd.
