Media Advisory: Cardlytics Hosts First Cardlytics Software Engineering Competition at Georgia Tech

WHAT:   First-ever Cardlytics Software Engineering Competition at Georgia Tech

WHY:   Atlanta is a strong tech city and Cardlytics, an Atlanta-based advertising and technology company, is tapping into that talent in an innovative way.  The fast-growing company created a software engineering competition to reward technology students and help identify talent for their open technology and engineering positions based right here in Atlanta.

In addition to cash prizes, the top three competitors will receive a guaranteed interview with Cardlytics’ senior engineering team.

THE CHALLENGE:  It’s a secret! The specific software engineering challenge to be solved will remain a closely guarded secret until the competition on Tuesday, September 17th.

●      Competition is open to all Georgia Institute of Technology students (limit 60). Individual entries only.

●      Participants will have six hours to solve a complex problem by developing a working software prototype in any technology stack (e.g. Java, C#, C, C++, etc.).  

●      All completed applications will be judged at the end of the allotted time and winners announced the same day. Winners will be chosen based on accuracy, speed of development, and implementation.

THE PRIZES:   First 3 individuals to complete exercise within allotted time win an interview with the Cardlytics engineering team plus:

●      1^st Place - $ 2,000

●      2^nd Place - $ 1,000

●      3^rd Place - $ 500
