Mobile Farming System Announces New EVP of Marketing Burl Hechtman

AZUSA, Calif. - Aug. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Mobile Farming Systems, Inc. of Palm Desert, Ca announced today the addition of Mr. Burl Hechtman as its new Executive Vice President of Marketing.  Mr. Hechtman will be responsible for the direct marketing campaign for the Garden Stand to include TV, cable, and Internet marketing as well as print, radio, and the Home Shopping channels like QVC and HSN.

About Mr. Hechtman.

Mr. Hechtman has been consulting for top companies in the Direct Marketing arena since January 2000.  Prior to forming To The Max Marketing, Hechtman was the CEO/President of Guthy-Renker Direct, which he founded in 1997. At Guthy-Renker Direct, he signed, produced and successfully marketed THE DEAN MARTIN CELEBRITY ROASTS (over $100,000,000 in Direct Marketing sales  to date ) and BOB HOPE television libraries, in addition to establishing successful "exclusive product" Direct Marketing relationships with THE HOME DEPOT, K-MART, TARGET, WALGREENS and PETSMART.

In 1992 Hechtman entered the Direct Marketing arena by founding King World Direct. At King World Direct, he forged an exclusive Direct Marketing/Retail relationship with SEARS, that saw venture sales surpass $400,000,000 in only three years. Hechtman also signed and marketed the PBS WILD AMERICA animal series into a $40,000,000 Direct Marketing only business in less than three years.

Prior to King World Direct, Hechtman was Vice President of Special Projects for King World Productions. In this position Hechtman created and managed successful special promotions for WHEEL OF FORTUNE and the launch of the syndicated television series CANDID CAMERA. For the WHEEL OF FORTUNE promotion Hechtman brought in Pepsico/Pizza Hut and Toys For Tots as partners, creating a 900# “Watch & Win” promotion that brought in nearly 5,000,000 calls in three weeks, and over a $2,000,000 donation to Toys For Tots.

Before King World, from 1984 to 1990, Hechtman was Executive Vice President of Television at Motown Productions. Hechtman brought Motown into the television series business by selling and producing the syndicated television series NIGHTLIFE and ROLLERGAMES. Hechtman also packaged and produced the award winning MOTOWN ON SHOWTIME cable series, which included Specials on MICHAEL JACKSON, MARVIN GAYE, SMOKEY ROBINSON, and TEMPTATIONS/THE FOUR TOPS.

From 1977-1984, Hechtman was Jose Feliciano's personal manager, rebuilding Feliciano's career into a platinum selling, Grammy award winning artist.

Hechtman started his professional career in 1971 as a music agent for The William Morris Agency where he opened and built the West Coast International Personal Appearance Department. Hechtman booked International tours for such artists as Neil Diamond, The Jackson Five, Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Temptations, Cheech and Chong, and Jackson Browne.
