Mirri & MirriNor To Exhibit At This Years Packaging Innovations Show In London

READING, U.K. - Aug. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- We are excited to announce that Mirri (a division of Celloglas), alongside MirriNor & Smurfit Kappa Sheetfeeding will be exhibiting at this years Packaging Innovations show, which is being held at the Business Design Centre in London on the 1^st & 2^nd October – come and see us on stand A16.

The show demonstrates all the latest in cutting-edge creative products and thinking– from the latest designs, innovative materials and sustainable solutions to insights into understanding consumer behaviour.

MirriNor is a product jointly developed by Mirri and Smurfit Kappa, who have collaborated to produce a ground breaking, lightweight but strong, metallised board, balancing Smurfit Kappa’s expertise in sustainable, corrugated packaging with Mirri’s world-leading experience of metallic paper and board. MirriNor, like other Mirri products, can be used across a range of markets, including multimedia, food and drink packaging and also point of sale, to name but a few.

The stand this year will showcase a range of MirriNor examples, including live jobs from the drinks markets, media and specialist food packaging as well as examples of “wow-boxes” and much, much more. We will also be showcasing the new MirriNor Display board, which has been designed specifically with POS market in mind and will available in large format sheets.

Other innovations from Mirri will also be available on the stand including the newly certified Mirri Pak & Mirri Holographic for HP Indigo substrates. The Mirri for HP Indigo range are metallic substrates suitable for graphical applications, providing a premium finish for a wide range of campaigns and products such as social stationary and gifts, premium direct mail, event invites, promotional items, photo books, packaging and short run book or magazine covers. The digital element offered by this new Mirri product also allows for personalised print, which has become a real growth area.

Color-Logic^TM prepress software will also be displayed on the stand, with a range of samples created using the Process Metallic Color System^TM to create amazing metallic effects. The Process Metallic Color System enables printers to consistently and reliably print CMYK process metallic colours and special effects using their existing equipment and print workflows.

Smurfit Kappa will also showcase their materials including the Norboard material used as the base of the MirriNor material. They will showcase a range of different options, including print finishing options, applied by Celloglas, onto the board to create stand out packaging pieces.
