The Spot Studios, Denver Area’s Newest Recording Studio, Offers Affordable World-Class Production

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- August 27, 2013 - - The Spot Studios, the Denver area’s newest recording studio, officially opened it’s doors June 1, 2013.  Located just minutes from downtown in Lakewood, The Spot fills the void left by the legendary Caribou Ranch, entering the scene as Colorado’s newest destination studio.

Offering world-class recordings for the modern musician, The Spot Studios showcases the production talents of Rich Veltrop and Glenn Sawyer.  Veltrop and Sawyer recently moved from Nothern California, where they were teamed up with super producer Sylvia Massy at Radiostar Studios (now Loud Palace).  This power team has a combined 25 years experience of production/engineering experience and they are both lifelong musicians.  

The Spot offers artists a variety of unique acoustic spaces to record in.  A room featuring vaulted ceilings and stone floors that has been dubbed “The Cathedral,” is the primary live room perfect for “huge drums” and harnessing the spirit of the late John Bonham.  “The Wood Room” offers a much warmer, tighter drum sound.

In addition to the fantastic acoustic spaces, The Spot also includes a long list of amenities.  The master suite known as “The Dojo,” is now an artist’s apartment, complete with a private bathroom overlooking a “Zen Garden,” a sun porch with an oxygen bar to refuel your creative energy, and ample sleeping arrangements.  Artists that book the studio for consecutive days will have access to these accommodations free of charge, which allows them to fully immerse themselves in the recording process.

Tours of the space are available daily and a variety of recording packages are available.
