2014 Ford F-150 Adds the Tremor to its Lineup of F-150 Pickup Trucks

BURNS HARBOR, Ind. - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- The 2014 Ford F-150 lineup now has one more truck in to offer, as Ford has added the 2014 F-150 Tremor. The Tremor is the first EcoBoost-powered sport truck and offers owners V8 engine power combined with V6 fuel economy. The 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor is set to go on sale this fall at dealerships across the country, including Lake Shore Ford in Burns Harbor, Indiana. It will have a starting price of $38,000.

The new Tremor comes powered by a 3.5L EcoBoost engine that possesses the ability to deliver 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Not only does the 2014 F-150 Tremor offer considerable strength, but this performance truck is also fast, traveling from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. It is also estimated that it will get 16 mpg city driving and 22 mpg highway driving, which places this Ford pickup in the top ten of fuel economy for full-size pickup trucks.

This 2014 Ford F-150 model will only be available in a short-wheelbase, regular cab configuration and will come in either two- or four-wheel drive. The 2014 Tremor will offer the F-150’s FX Appearance Package that includes a floor shifter and standard SYNC with MyFord Touch connectivity. In addition, drivers will notice the flat black accents, 20-inch wheels, class-exclusive HID headlights, unique graphics, and a customized interior. This F-150 is also the only regular cab with a flow-through center console.

Brian Bell, F-150 product marketing manager, said that the new Tremor allows F-150 owners the opportunity to drive a “highly capable, distinctive performance truck with features typically found only in the aftermarket.”  According to Bell, the 4x2 model is capable of towing up to 8,000 lbs while the 4x4 edition can tow up to 7,700 lbs.
