The Value Of Tito Time At Douglas VW

Being the son of an Air Force father, Douglas VW Master Sales Consultant Tito Delgado learned to be disciplined from a very young age. He was born in North Dakota and then shortly thereafter moved to Belgium. Tito started school there at the age of 2 and his first language was Dutch. At the age of 5, Tito and his family moved to Texas where he had to learn English for the first time.  His family eventually settled in the Bronx, NY and he ended up graduating from F.I.T. with a degree in Graphic Design.

Tito started with Douglas VW over 7 years ago. He had no outside experience in the automotive industry but had passions for vehicles and interacting with people so it was a perfect match for his skill set.  Another motivating factor in choosing Douglas VW for his employment was that he was proud and confident in standing behind a phenomenal VW product. As a by-product of his military family upbringing, Tito’s core principles are to always lend a hand to customer’s in need and to never waste anyone’s time. Last Fall during Hurricane Sandy, one of Tito’s customers called him up asking if he could buy gas from Douglas VW because he had a low tank and couldn’t locate an open gas station. Tito told him he couldn’t sell him gas from Douglas VW but instead siphoned 7 gallons of gasoline from his own vehicle to help the customer out.

This past February, Tito spoke with a customer on the phone who was extremely hesitant to come into Douglas VW. He had spent over 6 hours at another local VW dealer only to be told they couldn’t help him lease a Jetta. The customer decided to come into Douglas VW once Tito told him, “I value your time more than anything else.” Within a short amount of time, the customer was happily on the road with a 2013 Jetta (http://www.douglasvw.com/cars/new-2013-Volkswagen-Jetta-S...) from Douglas VW.

When Tito isn’t helping people purchase VW’s from Douglas, his favorite activity is spending time at home in Colonia, NJ with the apple of his eye-his 4-year-old daughter Aliyah. He also roots passionately for the Dallas Cowboys and the NY Mets (you’re from the Bronx Tito, how are you not a Yankees fan?!?!) Another of his favorite pastimes is hanging out with his two American Bullies Red Bull and Cheetara. As you probably figured, Tito is also the proud owner of a 2012 Passat (MotorTrend Car Of The Year (http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/best-car...)) and a 2000 Jetta with 63,000 miles that runs like new to this day.
