The choice for citizen journalists to be the primary source of news stories was an easy one to make. It was an easy choice because it will allow us to have a global presence without significant investments, and be able to gauge where the viewing public stands and where they want to go.
The mission of the website is to become the premier news channel and a place where information can be shared (like job postings). In the future, DancerGlobe hopes to become a lot more with services like advertising for local events and deals, a dancer social network, and even a full time Internet TV station dedicated to the dance industry worldwide.
As part of the soft-launch, DancerGlobe.com is now seeking local volunteer citizen journalists at all locations around the world. Signing up is as simple as 1-2-3, just visit the DancerGlobe.com website and click contribute. After only 5 successfully published articles, the journalist will be issued correspondent credentials and Press Identification card to formally recognize the correspondent as a valued contributor to DancerGlobe.
