Competition Offers $24K in Free Consulting Services to Businesses and Organizations

ALBANY, N.Y. - Aug. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- The Consulting Alliance announces the launch of 2013 "Roadmap to Results," a regional competition open to area for-profit, not-for-profit and public organizations located within 60 miles of downtown Albany, NY. Valued at $24,000, the competition award provides the winning organization with a limited four-day consulting engagement that includes:

* An formal review and assessment of the organization’s business challenges and opportunities

* A full-day briefing session with the senior management team

* A half-day meeting to present a set of strategic recommendations (or roadmap) that shows the organization how it can achieve its objectives.

Winners will be announced at a special event on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Italian American Community Center, Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY. “Roadmap to Results” was a competition launched by the Consulting Alliance in 2012 to celebrate its 20th business anniversary with the goals of “strengthening the community and contributing to the success of the region.”

Two winners were selected for the 2012 competition: B.E.S.S. Technologies and Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless. Each received $24,000 in complimentary consulting services. The consulting services were delivered by a team of seasoned, professional consultants handpicked from Consulting Alliance members to match the winning company’s specific needs.

B.E.S.S. Technologies sought help with establishing a strategic roadmap with milestones and action plans that would allow the company to be part of the same foundry supply chain currently in place for semiconductor or photovoltaic companies. With the Consulting Alliance’s consulting team’s assistance, the company validated its strategic plan; constructed a roadmap and prioritized the strategic items fundamental to its business and detailed the challenges to its supply chain.

Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless sought help with evaluating its day-to-day operations and with developing a five-year strategic plan. With the Consulting Alliance’s consulting team’s assistance, the organization identified responsibilities for each team member, prioritized short-term goals and positioned itself for the challenge of developing a five-year strategic plan.
