Even if Your Team Loses, Everyone gets Lucky with Love Sports

App developer says her love of sports wasn’t the reason she built Love Sports. Bringing couples closer together is the primary goal, she explains.

SALT LAKE CITY - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Whether a fan enjoys football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey or hoops, a new app from Love Sports lets them stay aware of every touchdown, tip-off, grand slam and hat trick, while helping strengthen the relationship with the non-sports buff in their life.

For years, some sports fans have struggled convincing their aloof significant others to watch their favorite teams. Love Sports is an interactive app that assists couples who want to learn how to enjoy each other’s pastimes, whether baseball, basketball, football, soccer or hockey.

Before the big games, each person in the relationship uses Love Sports to identify tasks the other will perform if teams reach different milestones in their respective contests.

A touchdown could mean it’s time for a foot massage.

A chore may need to be performed if a player knocks one out of the park.

And that much-needed car wash could be yours if your team scores the last-second basket to win the game.

Love Sports founder Wendy Azad, though, hopes lovers are more risqué with their Love Sports task lists.

“Be creative. Use a goal in the second period of the Islanders game as an excuse to make out during intermission,” Azad said. “If a run is scored during the ninth inning, retreat to the bedroom and hang a necktie on the knob.”

An admitted sports nut, Azad said she did not design the Love Sports app to get people excited about the games.

“I built the app to get people excited about their lovers,” she quipped.

She has watched as communication broke down in many relationships because one person in the alliance loved sports and the other did not.

“At Love Sports, we hope to do away with the notion that athletic events tear couples apart,” Azad said. “Love Sports provides a great way to strengthen a relationship without one person in the arrangement needing to give up something they are passionate about, like sports.”

For Apple users, the Love Sports application is free from the App Store. An Android version is on the way.

Whether you are a sports freak trying to get your indifferent sweetie to sit for a few hours and watch the game, or someone who doesn’t know a grand slam from a slam dunk who would simply like their significant other to pay more attention to them than the television set, Love Sports has the solution.

“Download it today, and enjoy the app during tonight’s game,” Azad said. “Even if your team loses, everybody gets lucky with Love Sports.”
