Since the national housing market crash in 2007-8, Arizona’s real estate economy has seen better days. On the bright side, there has been some promising statistics on Arizona’s housing market over the past year. According to the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service, not only has sold listings increased since January, but so has the average median sale price. Furthermore, the average days on the market has significantly decreased as well. What does this mean? Well, it does not necessarily mean we are out of woods or anything, but it does mean that there are more people buying new homes than before. So to get to the point of this article, buying a new home entails a lot of work and preparation before moving in. It is good practice to, while in it’s bare state, make certain modifications. More specifically, it is advisable to paint the interior of your new home.
Why Should You Paint the Interior of Your New Home?
Well for one, it feels great to paint the inside of your house. It might seem like a hassle, but when you're done, it looks great and you feel good about it. Secondly, it so much easier to do it before you're all settled in. While your house is bare, painting takes at least a third of the time and energy: no moving or wrapping heavy furniture or worrying about damaging any material. This also translates into money saved if you hire a professional painting company. The faster they get done, the less they will charge you. Thirdly, it makes the house feel like your own, and like you are the first to ever live there. Next, it allows you to coordinate any interior decorating schemes. Last, but not least, it increases the value of your home, which; can be very advantageous if you decide on selling in the future.
