The whole of the JDR Group Office Team each donated £1 towards the charity for the chance to guess the location of Penny the Sheep and raised over £50 for the Charity. Matthew Tudge from the JDR Group guessed the correct location and was rewarded with the Penny the Sheep Toy Prize.
The National Blind Children’s Society organises a range of fundraising events throughout the year including the London Marathon, London to Paris Cycling Challenge and Trekking Challenges as well as Soft Toy fundraising games, Donations, Sponsorship and school Events such as non-uniform day. The NBCS Charity is also combined with the Guide Dog Charity which helps both the visually impaired children and their parents to reduce the challenges that they are facing. There are approximately over 24,000 visually impaired children in the UK, many with additional needs so the NBCS Charity tries to support these children so that they can achieve their personal educational goals and fulfil their recreational activities and hobbies.
Leanne Mordue, Director of the JDR Group commented, “Here at JDR we are delighted to have taken part in the National Blind Children’s Society’s Penny the Sheep Campaign to raise vital funds towards gaining additional resources to help those who are visually impaired.”
