Seminar in Pune to provide faculty with key insights into VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) Design
Pune, Friday 23^rd August 2013: Cadence Design Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. held a seminar on VLSI design in Pune on the 23^rd of August, 2013, at the Courtyard by the Marriott. The seminar will update engineering college faculty groups with the latest trends and technologies in the field of VLSI design, and also address how educational institutions can help bridge the demand-supply gap that the semiconductor industry is facing. The seminar will provide a platform for the teaching fraternity to exchange views and discuss new ideas.
Dr. G K Kharate, Dean–Faculty of Engineering, University of Pune, will deliver the keynote, followed by sessions focused on industry – academia collaboration and recent technology trends in VLSI design by Jayashankar Narayankutty, Sales Director, and Naresh Ramachandran, Director, both from Cadence, respectively. Professor Shastry of Cummins Engineering College will share his experience working with Cadence and touch upon the importance of industry participation in academics. The seminar will also include a practical demonstration session to show faculty the breadth and depth of the Cadence technology offerings.
This seminar is a part of the Cadence University Program which now has more than 350 institutes enrolled across India, including IITs, NITs and private engineering colleges. The Cadence University Program aims at providing educational institutions commercial-grade software so that students have access to best-in-class technology.
