Entertainment Company helps community by sponsoring unique open mic contest

Cnotes Entertainment is helping our community by providing an outlet and stage for independent musicians and artists to showcase their skills. This unique open mic boasts prizes such as recording contract and studio time and is designed to help.

PLANO, Texas - Aug. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Cnotes Entertainment and 2 Kats Live are teaming up to help our community's musicians and artists showcase their talents.   "Where Ya At Wednesdays" is a unique open mic contest designed to help artists and musicians showcase their talents and it is a beneficial contest with the winners taking a recording contract and free professional studio recording time.  "Artists today are being asked to pay to play...and I feel this is wrong. Our contest is FREE, and that's the way is should be.", says the CEO, Cedric "Cnote" Buard about the state of our industry.  "It is sad that there is so much talent in Dallas, but no where for the artists to showcase how good they are.  We are changing this."

The contest is open to all genres of music, except hip hop, and gives artists not only a platform to display their talents, but an audience with similar likes.  "This is a contest where EVERYONE wins', states the CEO.  "Even if you don't win a prize, the networks, contacts and friends you will meet will be prize enough."

The open mic begins Wednesday, August 28, 2013 and will be held at 2 Kats Live at 9410 Walnut Street, Dallas, Texas 75243 from 6pm until 10 pm.
