Meridian Specialty Vehicles, Announces New “Green” Shuttle Bus Product Line.

LAS VEGAS - Aug. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Las Vegas, NV – Veteran specialty vehicle manufacturer Meridian Specialty Vehicles, Inc. announced its recent product line expansion to include shuttle buses and paratransit buses in addition to its new assembly plant located in Las Vegas, NV where they will be produced.  Buses will be manufactured on the 24-foot Mercedes Benz and Freightliner Sprinter chassis and the new Chrysler/Dodge/Ram ProMaster and full-size Ford Transit chassis.

Meridian’s vision is to fulfill an underserved and growing market of bus operators that are demanding “greener”, highly efficient, comfortable, more maneuverable and affordable shuttle and paratransit buses in the 14-20 passenger range.  “Traditional bus operators are generally astonished to learn that we offer products that can comfortably transport 20 passengers while delivering 18 MPG”, states Royce Harper, Meridian’s Director of Sales, “when combined with 10,000 mile service intervals and other economic benefits, our real-world Returns-On-Investment (ROI) demonstrate savings to fleet owners of $50,000 to $80,000 or more per bus over their life span.”

Meridian’s bus product range includes over 20 different standard Sprinter floor plan configurations, ranging from basic to luxury, including many ADA-compliant side- and rear-wheelchair lift models with a mix of five different and innovative door options, several of which are patent pending.  All of Meridian’s products are FMVSS-compliant.  Meridian has also achieved status as an approved Mercedes Benz Sprinter Upfitter, a highly coveted award, bestowed only to the finest upfitter/partners of Mercedes Benz.
