BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Aug. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Morocco is a land of contrasting sceneries and no-one can ‘tick box’ the country before experiencing the vast wilderness of the Sahara Desert; Fleewinter, the specialist operator with more options to Morocco than any other company, offers a choice of camps for those wishing to experience the desert, depending on budget.

Erg Chigaga is an exceptionally beautiful part of the Sahara and home to the Ait Atta Berber nomads, located 50km south of the High Atlas where the road ends and 4-wheel drive is the only option to climb the vast sand dunes - the highest in Morocco.

Fleewinter’s ‘Luxury Camp’ (http://www.fleewinter.co.uk/morocco-accommodation/mtc001) is nestled among these dunes, comprised of six large tents (sleeping 12 people), each with a private, adjoining bathroom tent with toilet, dressing area and wash area.

The highest quality mattresses, linen and pillows have been sourced, whilst each tent is equipped with ‘wall-to-wall rugs’, solar-powered lighting and handcrafted furniture.

In the centre of the camp is the Berber lounge which is filled with traditional mattresses and pouffes with ice-cold soft drinks and alcohol available.  Meals are served outside under the stars, or under cover in a Berber tent.

A three-night desert break costs from £590 per person (two sharing) including private return transfer by 4x4 and camel from Marrakech and all meals and soft drinks.

Just 5 miles and several dozen huge dunes away is Fleewinter’s ‘standard (http://www.fleewinter.co.uk/morocco-accommodation/mtc002)’ desert camp for those on a smaller budget.

The camp is comprised of 10 sleeping tents, all of which are decorated with Berber rugs and equipped with mattresses or beds (shared bathrooms).

A central Berber-style lounge tent is used for relaxation and the serving of meals.

Whilst more simple in style, the camp nevertheless enjoys the same panoramic views and romantic sunsets as its more opulent neighbour across the sand.

A three-night desert break costs from £440 per person (two sharing) including private return transfer by 4x4 and camel from Marrakech and all meals and soft drinks.

Spectacular helicopter transfers from Marrakech also bookable for those short of time and with ‘money no object’ budgets.
