Looking Good and Doing Good on the Runway in Middleburg

MIDDLEBURG, Va. - Aug. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Windy Hill Foundation (a non-profit organization) will hold its annual benefit fashion show  at the newly opened Salamander Resort & Spa (500 Pendleton Street, Middleburg, Va. 20117) on Friday, October 18.  Cocktails will start at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.  The event will feature a fashion show and live and silent auctions.  Windy Hill Foundation is a non-profit affordable housing organization located in Middleburg, Va. and the fashion show is its largest annual fundraiser.

The Windy Hill Fashion Show has, in the past, been held as a luncheon event at various estates in the Middleburg area.  The organization decided this year to take advantage of the newly opened Salamander Resort & Spa and hold a more formal evening event.  The event will be held in Salamander’s 5,000 square foot ballroom and will be the first public event providing an opportunity for attendees to experience the new, luxurious resort.

Clothes for the show come from area retailers—Betsey, Highcliffe Clothiers, Tully Rector, Tri-County Feeds, Lou Lou and others—and are modeled by many of Middleburg’s most prominent residents.

The live and silent auctions will feature a wide array of exquisite items including jewelry, art, house wares, antiques, and exciting trips.

The Windy Hill Foundation’s mission is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to low and lower income families and the elderly in Loudoun, Clarke, and Fauquier Counties and to encourage self-improvement and self-sufficiency among tenant residents.  All proceeds from this event will help Family Development Committee programs including after-school programming for children, health screening and social programs for seniors, and an emergency fund for rental assistance and help with medical and utility bills to benefit all residents.
