Local CEO Named “Rising Star” Under 40 in Health Care Industry

ROWLETT, Texas - Aug. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- ROWLETT, Texas –Brett Lee, chief executive officer of Lake Pointe Health Network (LPHN) (http://www.lakepointemedical.com/en-US/Pages/default.aspx), has been honored as one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s 25 “Rising Stars” under age 40 in the health care profession. The magazine, one of the industry’s leading publications on hospital business news and analysis, publishes the list annually to recognize outstanding healthcare professionals and management around the country.
Serving as the hospital’s CEO since November 2012, Lee is responsible for the oversight of strategic, operational and clinical activities for the entire network, which is comprised of nine outpatient centers and a 112-bed hospital in Rowlett. The facilities are owned and operated by Tenet Healthcare Corp. , of Dallas. Furthermore, in a short period of time he has become an active community member serving on the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the City of Heath Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustments.  He currently serves on the DFW Hospital Council Board representing LPHN and Tenet.

Lee previously served as senior vice president and chief operating officer at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He also held executive positions at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis in addition to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and also holds graduate degrees from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, The University of Pennsylvania, and a doctorate from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Sciences.
