Follow on Google News | CliniMed Go Green! - The Downsizing of CliniMed’s Carbon FootprintBy: CliniMed CliniMed’s previous environmental targets have been to reduce their tonnage per mile by at least 1%. As well as this, they have also been tracking their overall number of business miles per company car driver and the average C02 emissions of the cars they drive. With attention to these factors, CliniMed reduced their tonnage per mile by 6.84% between 2011/12; a fantastic result. Yet with CliniMed’s “can do” attitude, they believe they can do even more to cut their C02 emissions and be as green as possible. Their targets for 2013 are to reduce the average C02 emissions per vehicle to under 120, and to reduce the tonnage per mile produced by their fleet by a further 2.5%. CliniMed are significantly and consistently reducing their C02 outputs against an increasing fleet. With staff awareness of CliniMed’s ambitions to be as green as possible, they are now naturally selecting vehicles with lower C02 emissions, helping the company in their ambitious plans to reduce their C02 emissions even further this year. With CliniMed staff so proactive in lowering their carbon footprint, perhaps it is not surprising that some of their products also aspire to be green.
