Follow on Google News | Black Hills Community Bank organizes Salvation Army Community Drop-Off DayBy: Blush-Marketing In the past, this has been a one-day event, but has extended to three days this year, giving people plenty of time to drop off their items. “We’ll take anything that people want to donate to people in need. We’ll have two large trucks ready to go, loading up items at the bank, unloading them at our thrift store – and then going back to the bank for more!” said Mark Kirkeby, development director at Salvation Army of the Black Hills. Kirkeby credits the leadership at Black Hills Community Bank, including President Jack Lynass, with their “amazing community-minded spirit.” “Last year, about $8,000 in sales came out of the thrift store because of this event,” said Kirkeby. “It’s incredible what the Salvation Army can do with these treasured resources. This event provides a lot of positive energy for the Black Hills.” A team of Black Hills Community Bank volunteers and Salvation Army volunteers will gather in the bank’s parking lot, serving snacks and drinks to people who stop by with donations. “We’re proud to show our dedication to community organizations like Salvation Army,” said Lynass. “We take pride in our ability to give back to the community.” For more information about donating to Salvation Army of the Black Hills, visit http://www.usc.salvationarmy.org/ ### About Black Hills Community Bank Black Hills Community Bank prides itself on doing business locally: with local investors, a local Board of Directors, and local bankers making local decisions.
