Cotton Cravings Organic Confections Launches National Healthier Candy Initiative

With organic cotton candy ranging in flavors from Cookie Dough and Birthday Cake to Pink Lemonade and Chai Latte, Cotton Cravings has carved out a niche providing unique gourmet treats to venues like Cirque du Soleil and upscale hotels. As the demand for desserts and snacks grows among shoppers from all walks of life, Cotton Cravings is launching a major initiative to bring their pure and natural candies to parents and children in cities across the country.

 

“The sad fact is that many of the best tasting candies and treats are made of the worst ingredients on the planet,” says Cotton Cravings’ Chief Encouragement Officer David Karsh. Karsh founded the business in South Florida in 2012, along with his wife Dr. Miriam Karsh, a pediatrician specializing in children’s nutrition. “Many of the artificial colors and flavors found in just about everything have been scientifically linked to serious health ailments in people of all ages,” says Dr. Karsh “Our commitment is that we would never sell a product that we would not serve our own children.

 

The company is set to open it’s first-ever “CRAVE STATION” in Atlanta’s Lenox Square Mall in early September, followed by at least three more Georgia malls before the upcoming holiday season. Followed by a launch of future “Crave Stations” in malls around the US. Cotton Cravings is working with Simon Malls and General Growth Properties, the two largest mall ownership groups in the country. In keeping with Cotton Cravings organic mission, the company launched an initiative on the popular crowdfunding site KickStarter to include fans and supporters in the growth of the company. “KickStarter offers us something special that companies cannot gain by working with big banks or traditional investment firms, that is the ability to connect directly to the people businesses should care the most about—their current and future customers,” says Barry Herman, Cotton Craving’s Chief Prosperity Officer.
