Global Net asks “What is the point of Social Networking?”

CANARY WHARF, U.K. - Aug. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Global Net was wondering what the point of social networking means these days. If you think about it for a second what is it that social networking actually do for you or mean to you. Social networking has become an addiction to the worldwide for students’ parent’s children and even grandparents.

According to a recent study the UK alone has become the biggest addict to this social network phenomenon. It seems that what started out as Mark Zukerberg’s idea to get over a girlfriend has now gotten out of hand quicker than anyone that could have been quicker than anyone could have conceived!

“All of my criticisms surprisingly enough are about what Social Network has done to communication” says Rebecca Stevens, “Something that social network arguable has made the biggest impact since the invention of mobile phones and laptops.” The nature of the language itself has changed and become shorthand in everyday language which has academics pulling their hair out. LOL!

It has also become a popularity contest to have the most friends and followers in the social networking environment. A recent survey found that users polled 83% of users actually met the 10% of their so called friends in a given month.

Many people now use social networking as a marketing business tool to find people, promoting nights out following particular celebs, inviting others that they know. Social networking is now a modern twist on word of mouth promotions.                        

Like many companies Global Net often run a quick Google search of the person name if a hit comes up on any social networking website they view the profile as this is another way of assessing the candidate before making the arrangement for an appointment.
