By: Women In Film & Television Atlanta The WIFTA Tuition Scholarship will be presented to a promising student who is an example of what WIFTA stands for; it's WIFTA's way of staying true to its mission to support women working in (or striving to be) a part of the TV / Film / screen-based moving images industry and of building a legacy of strong female in the industry. The application period for the 2013 WIFTA Tuition Scholarship is now open. The eligibility criteria and the application are available online at http://www.WIFTA.org/ About The WIFTA Tuition Scholarship The WIFTA Tuition Scholarship provides financial assistance annually to promising WIFTA student members. Each year, a scholarship of up to $1,500 is awarded to one (or more) deserving female student member(s) studying film / video production at an accredited Georgia college or university. Qualifying candidates are evaluated based on their academic standing, artistic talents and commitment to a film-based curriculum. Each year’s recipient is honored at that year’s WIFTA Anniversary Gala & Awards Ceremony; with the scholarship award being paid directly to the recipient’s college or university. About Women In Film & Television Atlanta (WIFTA) Women In Film & Television Atlanta (WIFTA), a 501c-3 Georgia non-profit, is a member-based professional organization affiliated with other Women In Film chapters around the world. Since our inception in 1974, the Atlanta chapter has proudly had a membership community of multi-generational and culturally diverse professionals, which include producers, directors, actors, entertainment attorneys, camera and sound technicians, film editors, graphic design artists, make-up artists, wardrobe specialists, screenwriters, talent agents and casting directors.
