Patti Austin Music Launches "#ShowPatti Beautiful Japan" Photo Contest

TOKYO, Japan - Aug. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Even as she tours Asia and Europe for a series of performances this year, renowned jazz singer Patti Austin plans on making the most out of each stop. The recently launched "#ShowPatti Beautiful Japan" photo contest encourages the artist's fans to showcase the scenic and breathtaking country in time for her solo performance in Tokyo this coming October.

Ms. Austin has been documenting her tour to put each performance in context and preserve these for posterity through a travelogue she will publish on a later date. Participants to the "#ShowPatti Beautiful Japan" contest must be Japanese citizens 13 years old or older, and have Facebook, Twitter or an Instagram account where they can post their photo entries. Pictures must be original, unpublished and not entered into any contest prior to this. Each must capture scenes, places or activities that highlight the theme "Beautiful Japan".

To enter, the photo must be posted on the above social media networks with the hashtag #ShowPatti, including a brief caption providing some information about the picture and the camera and lens used.

The contest runs from August 22 to October 18 and the winner, who will receive a brand Apple iPad Mini, will be announced through Ms. Austin’s social media channels and website on October 22, 2013.

Ms. Austin recently performed with legendary artists Quincy Jones, James Ingram and more at the Blue Note Tokyo, Tokyo International Forum and at the Green Arena in Hiroshima, Japan. Ms. Austin is going back to the Blue Note Tokyo to do her own show with title "PATTI AUSTIN - The Real Me (Jazz, R & B and Soul)" on October 13, 14 & 15.
