(Delray Beach, FL – August 19, 2013) Miles Coon, Founder & Director of the Palm Beach Poetry Festival (PBPF), today announced that the upcoming10th annual festival is hosting three special events during the month of September – and the public is invited to participate in all of them.
+ Bards of a Feather Poetry Reading – September 18
The next Bards of a Feather poetry reading will be held on Wednesday, September 18, at 12:30 p.m. at Green Cay Wetlands Preserve in Boynton Beach – located at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road (on the east side of the street, between Boynton Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue). Bards of a Feather is one of South Florida’s leading poetry reading groups.
+ Poetry Workshop on Exquisite Writing – September 21
The award-winning Palm Beach Poetry Festival will be hosting Exquisite Writing, a poetry-writing workshop on Saturday, September 21, at 1 p.m. This informative workshop will be held at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts at 51 N. Swinton Avenue. A $10 fee will be collected at the workshop.
+ 100,000 Poets for Change Global Event – September 28
The third annual 100,000 Poets for Global Change will feature poets reading and performing works that promote social, political, environmental sustainability and change simultaneously across the planet – an event that will be completely inclusive and decentralized. Local attendees are welcome to read their own work or favorite poems by other poets. Participants should limit their poem to one page. Following the poetry reading, special guest acoustic musicians will play songs for peace. Starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, at the Bottega Wine Bar at the Promenade, 4455 Lyons Road in Coconut Creek.

About the Palm Beach Poetry Festival 2014:
The 10th annual Palm Beach Poetry Festival will be held January 20-25, 2014 at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts. The Festival will once again feature about a dozen top poets at numerous ticketed public events, including readings, talks and a lively panel discussion. In addition, participants in the festival’s eight poetry workshops will read at several open mics, free to the public. Tickets will go on sale to the public later this year through the festival website and at the Crest Theatre Box Office at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts.
