Follow on Google News | Invata Intralogistics Awarded Another Latin American Distribution Center by Global Healthcare LeaderThe 50,000 square foot Santiago facility is being expanded to meet the needs of a growing local market. The work entails nearly doubling the existing distribution center footprint, as well as modernizing the material handling and storage systems used in the facility. All the work will be done without disruption to the client’s current daily distribution center operation, with a seamless transition into the new space and new systems. The modernization of the storage system entails furnishing infrastructure compatible with the inventory being held and accommodating FEFO storage and lot integrity. “We were looking for a partner who had previous experience working in Latin America and had experience in the medical products field,” said the company’s Distribution Manager. “We found that partner in Invata. The design of the expanded distribution center will meet our core objectives for expanded processing and storage capabilities as well as accommodating future growth.” According to Jay Moris, President of Invata Intralogistics, “Invata is very pleased to be awarded this implementation. It adds to our growing list of LATAM implementations. There are challenges working in Chile as there are in all countries in the region, and we will apply our experience to ensure this distribution center implementation is completed on time and on budget.” About Invata Intralogistics (www.invata.com) Invata Intralogistics, Inc. is an authority in the design, implementation, and life cycle support of automated fulfillment and distribution center operations with demonstrable expertise in both software and systems engineering and development.
