New Director of Product Management Names to Chartway Federal Credit Union's Leadership Team

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Aug. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Following the retirement of longtime credit union employee, Sherrie Johnson, Chartway Federal Credit Union has promoted Derek Tinsley as their new director of product management. Tinsley previously served as the director of business lending for the credit union and will begin his new role immediately. 

With more than twenty years of experience in the finance industry including a degree from Virginia Tech, Tinsley has an extensive background in business, sales, and investment management. From serving as a senior broker for a Miami-based institution to providing leadership as an established financial professional in the Hampton Roads market, Tinsley’s background and expertise will serve him well in his new role. Tinsley has previous experience at Suntrust Bank and former financial institutions First Union and Wachovia.

We know that Derek’s expertise will help us find even more ways to make the unique credit union difference.” 

Chartway’s Utah divisions currently consist of HeritageWest, SouthWest Community and Utah Central credit unions. HeritageWest Credit Union and SouthWest Community Credit Union joined the Chartway family in 2010 while Utah Central became a part of the organization in 2011. Altogether, the organization has assets of more than $1.9 billion and serves nearly 200,000 members throughout the United States.
