Aug. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- SEO Services Columbus Ohio - Five years ago, we started an online marketing service named Blue Fox SEO.  The objective was to rank clients’ websites on the first page of various keywords that would drive traffic to their websites.  Back then, it was pretty easy.  I would backlink from SEO forums and boom – the client’s website would be on the first page.  Those were the good ‘ole days.

Since then, Google has changed their algorithm many times and has made it tough for websites to rank organically on the first page.  Many marketing firms have moved to PPC campaigns in getting customers to their client’s websites, basically throwing all or organic search away.  What used to be easy to rank is no longer.

However, we at Shrigley Web Services have not given up on organic search.  Today, we are going to rank our new website at http://www.shrigleywebservices.com for the keywords “SEO Services Columbus Ohio”.  This might take a long time to do – in fact, we’re not totally sure if it will work.  Our technique will be backlinking from SEO forums.  A third of the links will be “Naked URLs”, another third will be the exact keywords and the final third will be random phrases.  We want to make sure we have a good link diversity so Google does not think we are spamming.  Bottom line is that we aren’t spamming.  For our comments on these SEO forums, these are well thought out comments that show our links in the “signature box”.  

We started today, which is August 19th.  In fact, this article will be placed on a press release website that we’ve found that we can rank easily for local search on Bing / Yahoo’s top page.  Google, they usually rank us on the second page.  We really don’t care where this article actually ranks since this will be part of our backlinking plan.  We’re our testing this in our SEO labs and will keep track of everything.  We then will post the results to our website.

We also posted three backlinks from the warrior forum in which the anchor text was exact – “SEO Services Columbus Ohio”.  We probably should have started with a naked URL, but oh well, we’ll see if this works.  After all, this article will have one naked URL to our website.  Our mission tomorrow is to find more SEO forums to put backlinks on and we will update our website to let everyone know what is working and what is not.

We will be posting from some article directories / web 2.0 properties – but one we used to post we will no longer, the name of the site is Hubpages.  We have noticed that we the last couple articles that were posted were not indexed by Google, let alone by Bing.  We pinged to it by using the Pingler and Pingomatic websites, but we still couldn’t get it indexed.  We also backlinked to the articles but still to no avail.  I believe you have to have a certain score on Hubpages for it to get picked up by Google.

Again, these are all tests.  We are doing this for our future clients.  We want to know what works so we can use the same method.  Once we have success with several websites, we will be once again offering our services.
