Follow on Google News | Fox Fodder Farm Launching Fragrance Oils and New CollaborationFox Fodder Farm is showing its first line of collaborative planter designs with Farrah Sit under the collaborative label LIGHT + LADDER and introducing their new Fragrance Line, Wood + Flower, at the NY Now show.
By: Fox Fodder Farm Raised in Brandywine Valley, Delaware, founder and creative director Taylor Patterson, drew on her own childhood home and memories to instill the company with the sense of nostalgia it aims to capture in all of its endeavors, beginning with the company’s namesake. Taylor’s mother originally thought up the name for their family’s farm in Delaware. They raised chickens, the foxes ate them, it seemed appropriate. Although Taylor doesn’t know if it’s necessarily well suited for a floral company, the name is synonymous to home, and that is one of the things we are ultimately aiming to capture at Fox Fodder Farm. Recently, Fox Fodder Farm has been working to branch out into another form of sensory expression, still wholly ingrained in the desire to delve back into pleasant memories of the past. Using hand crafted, all natural essential fragrance oils, we have begun a line of locally hand poured candles, soaps, and perfumes. Fox Fodder Farm is consistently finding ways to work with mentors, peers, and friends as often as possible in order to continue innovating. Light and Ladder, a collaborative brand also based in Brooklyn, NY works with independent artists to create practical yet beautiful objects for day to day use. Teaming up with Fox Fodder Farm seemed a perfect fit from the start; Light and Ladder being a company focused on creating simple yet elegant vessels, and Fox Fodder Farm being built with a focus on filling those vessels. Farrah Sit of Light and Ladder and Taylor Patterson of Fox Fodder Farm have come together in collaboration to create a line of products that aim in merging their mutual interests in bringing the natural world outside into one’s daily routines within the home. Together the two are aiming to strike a balance between their urban environments and the organic aesthetic to which they are both consistently drawn. Their products range from conceptual and artistic while still remaining rooted in utilitarian, everyday uses. Both Light and Ladder and Fox Fodder Farm believe that while the work at hand may be challenging, the end result should be accessible. htttp://www.foxfodderfarm.com For more information Social Stylate lagolt@socialstylate.com End
