The local authorities tell Karla her aunt was abruptly called back to her job at a government facilities based in Montana where she's needed to continue her important work on a special project.

After an attempt is made on Karla's life, she visits Tempo News Reporter Molly Manners in hopes of finding help and getting guidance.
 

Molly introduces Karla to her friend Burgundy Blake, a decorated gulf war veteran turned south central LA Private Investigator. Soon sinister forces begin working to stop Burgundy and Karla.
