Grammy-award winning Sottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris has spent the summer topping the charts and headlining some of the world's biggest festivals, including Spring Awakening Music Festival in Chicago. Between performances, his album 18 Months went double platinum in the UK, and his latest single, "Thinking About You," has been met with more critical and commercial acclaim. Harris holds the record for the most UK Top 10 hits from a single studio album with eight Top Ten hits.

UK producer, label owner, and DJ Joshua Steel, aka Flux Pavilion, made a permanent imprint on the state of bass music with his singles "I Can't Stop," which would later be sampled by Kaye West, and "Bass Cannon," all through his imprint with childhood friend Doctor P, Circus Records. The label's output has been a huge influence on the genre, with Cookie Monsta, FuntCase, Brown & Gammon, and many more artist's tracks becoming staples in every DJs live show. Flux Pavilion's latest EP, Blow the Roof,  features guest appearances by Childish Gambino, Sway, and others. His newest single, "Do or Die," featuring Childish Gambino, was recently released, with official remixes by Flosstradamus, FuntCase, and Mully.

Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, one of the region’s premier outdoor entertainment venues, reopened on June 1, 2013. The 7,200-person capacity venue (4,200 seats and 3,000 lawn spaces), recently received roughly $2 million in upgrades prior to the opening including technology, cosmetic improvements, and an overall enhanced customer service experience.
